AMBIGUITY ON RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SANCTIFICATION: HALF TRUTH BECAUSE WE NEED A SAVIOUR TO BECOME HOLY
SDA does not understand that sanctification is another word for holiness. SDA hides behind the word sanctification to spread false teaching.
WE DO NEED THE SAVIOR WHEN WE BECOME HOLY BECAUSE IT IS THE SAVIOR WHO COMMANDS US TO BE HOLY BECAUSE HE IS HOLY
Of course, WE ARE ALL SINNERS. THAT IS THE REASON YEHOSHUA MESSIAH YHWH GOD died to give us a chance not to be a sinner by paying for sin which costs irrevocable death. SINNERS CANNOT BE SAVED. HOLY ONES CAN BE SAVED. Think about! God kicked out Adam and Eve because they became sinners in that they disagreed with God and ate the forbidden fruit of knowledge. They died forever just as sinners die forever.
HOWEVER, God Father devised a plan to save us from the irrevocable death that is necessitated by sin. He chose YEHOSHUA MESSIAH YHWH to pay for sin so that when we repent, we do not have to worry about the price of sin that no man can never pay. We have a chance to be holy again if we overcome sin to behave only according to God without any disagreement (sin) with Him and believe only what God teaches.
The sin of Adam and Eve teaches that God does not deal with sin but with holiness or sanctification. Period. YEHOSHUA MESSIAH YHWH did not die to excuse our sins or to sanctify our sins. God forbid! The blood of Jesus was poured only for remission of sins of many, not all, and not for salvation. In other words, the blood of Jesus does not save. Otherwise, all sinners, believers and non-believers would have been all saved.
THE COMMANDMENT OF HOLINESS (SANCTIFICATION) CANNOT BE IGNORED IF WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT OUR SALVATION
It is true that in Leviticus 20:8, as quoted by the SDA, we read that, "I ... the LORD (YAHWEH) ... sanctify you", BUT the preceding verse, Leviticus 20:7 (ASV) ALSO says, "Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am Jehovah your God."
SDA, like Satan, teaches part of the truth not the whole truth. According to Leviticus 20:7-8, YEHOSHUA MESSIAH YHWH sanctifies only those who make themselves holy or those who sanctify themselves. In other words, if do not sanctify ourselves or make ourselves holy, Jesus will not sanctify us.
"For I am Jehovah your God: sanctify yourselves therefore and be ye holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that moveth upon the earth." (Leviticus 11:44 ASV)
There are the 10 Words, mistakenly called the 10 commandments, and there are also other commandments besides the 10. For example, we know about the commandment of Leviticus 20:13 (ASV),
'And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
We can all agree that men who lie with other men are not holy but as sinners. Can we believe TODAY that homosexuality is no longer a sin because of the blood or the sanctification of Jesus and, as such, that Jesus will sanctify homosexuality or any other sin also because no man cannot become holy by stopping sinning?
The fact is that Jesus calls on all to be holy or saints or sanctified so that Jesus in turn can sanctify us (set us apart, sealed us with His approval because we follow only Him) for the Father. Jesus cannot sanctify the sinful! John 9:31, Ezekiel 33:13, Leviticus 19:1-2, 1 Peter 1:16, Hebrews 12:14. Paul also speaks of the holiness (sanctification) in the Holy Spirit (2 Thessalonians 2:13). We pursue holiness or sanctification so that Jesus can sanctify us in the Holy Spirit. We fight and overcome to become holy (sanctified) because the call remains, 'Ye shall be holy because I am holy'. Leviticus 19:2.
In the caption, consider how wrong Ellen G White (SDA) is on the doctrines of righteousness and holiness.
Righteousness and sanctification (holiness) are not activities of God because God is already holy but, rather, activities of men by behaving actively so stay holy (Leviticus 20:7, Ezekiel 33:13-20, Hebrews 12:14, et cetera).
Leviticus 20:7-8 ASV
(7) Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am Jehovah your God.
(8) And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.
Hebrews 12:14 ASV
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 CLV
Pursue peace with all, and holiness, apart from which no one shall be seeing the Lord.
